2002 This manual is intended to support the Image Digitisation of Local History Collections training courses conducted by the State Library of Victoria in July 2002. It provides a simple introduction to the issues libraries need to consider when planning and implementing an image digitisation project. More detailed technical and practical information is available from a variety of publications and Internet sites and many of these have been cited throughout the manual and in the bibliography. The manual provides a starting point and a broad guide to the various aspects of a library image digitisation project. Information contained in this manual does not constitute legal or technical advice.
