On behalf of the Library Board of Victoria, applications are now open for the 2010 Pierre Gorman Research Award valued at $15,000.
The award is named to honour Dr Pierre Gorman CBE, in recognition of his distinguished contribution to research and development in library services for people with disabilities and contemporary and historical bibliography.
Eligibility
The award is open to:
- Victorian public libraries. Applications may either be from individual library services or multiple library services submitting a joint proposal. In the interest of fostering partnership opportunities, applications including or proposing partnership/s with appropriate disability agencies or service providers are also encouraged.
- Individuals employed in the Victorian public library industry for professional development to cater for the special needs of people with a disability.
